Judging and how it works

You may like to know how your entry is judged Every entry goes through the same criteria up to 10 points are given for taste up to ten points - set up to ten points - presentation - Please note in commercial entries these have to comply with all the rules set out by the food producers governing body and be written on the labels Entries that get 25 to 27 points will all be awarded a bronze certificate 28 /29 points will be for a silver certificate and 30 points will achieve gold In the Commercial section - The overall winner will have the chance to sell their produce at Newby Hall the following season .

Less than a month to entries opening

With over 1400 people coming through the gates in 2026 we all felt it was an amazing event . So with less than one month to go before entries open for this year World Jam Festival we will be updating you with what will be happening this year . Held again by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Compton at Newby Hall on Sunday 27th September . It will be held in the Grantham Room next door to the Dolls House Display Previously, we have had a gold, a silver and a bronze winner in each category. There were many disappointed entrants who did not receive these accolades and as we have always said as the World Jam Festival continues to grow, so does the energy, creativity and sheer talent of our incredible entrants. Every year we are blown away by the time taken and originality on display, and we know that limiting recognition to just a few awards can mean some truly fantastic contributions don’t get the spotlight they deserve.
